Since childhood, Masako Fisher has been drawn to visual arts and has enjoyed working creatively in various mediums, including watercolour painting, oil painting, ceramic art, printmaking, sculpture, and photography.
Having spent over half of her life in New Zealand after arriving from her homeland in Japan, she is inspired by the beauty of New Zealand’s natural landscapes and plants. Her other passion is travel. She has visited 33 countries so far and has encountered many different people and cultures and visited many art galleries and museums.
She loves to blend her love of New Zealand’s natural world with the Japanese culture in her printmaking.
